A 5 Module Comprehensive Certificate Program on Laser Dentistry

An evidence-based Laser courses that equips the candidates with technical knowledge along with valuable clinical expertise.

Candidates will be instructed and certified in the use of the entire spectrum of dental lasers on patients, ably guided by our experienced teachers and coaches.

For the first time, candidates will provide procedures with all wavelengths of lasers on patients. A three month follow-up will allow candidates to evaluate the efficacy of their work.

Laser Physics

• Introduction to laser physics

• Biophysical Interactions

• Modes of Operations of Lasers

• How to equip a dental office

Laser Safety

• Learn Laser safety and infection control.

• Understand the capabilities and limitations of Dental Lasers.

• Review all Laser Types – delivery system operating parameters and power settings.

 

Module 2:

 

• High Power Diode Lasers (810 – 980 nm).

• Intensive didactic lectures on high powered lasers and their use on soft tissues.
   

Contact Session II:

Module 3:

• Er:YAG (2940nm) and Er,Cr,YSGG (2790) Lasers.

• Hard & Soft Tissue therapy.

• Intensive didactic lectures on their use on soft tissues.

 

Module 4:

• Nd:YAG and CO2 Lasers Intensive didactic lectures on the uses of both wave length.

Oral Exam: 5 documented clinical cases presentations according to provided guidelines.
Written Exam: Questions based on modules 1 – 4.
Case Presentation: 5 Clinical case presentations.
