A one day symposium on lasers,”Tomorrow’s dentistry today” 2012 held at the Marriot in Hyderabad on August 5th had a tremendous response in terms of delegates from different fields of dentistry. The conference was attended by senior practitioners, principals of various colleges as well as student delegates.
The chief guest for the occasion was Dr. Akun Sabarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police South – A dentist himself. Dr. Ralf Borchers’ was an invited speaker from Germany.
The scientific session started with the founder president of IALD, Dr. Suchetan Pradhan, introducing laser dentistry and was followed by Dr. Ralf Borchers’ enlightening lecture on laser dentistry and its scope in the future.
The chief guest Dr. Akun Sabarwal and the faculty of IALD Dr. Suchetan Pradhan, Dr. Ralf Borchers, Dr. Mahendranath Reddy, Dr. Premila Suganthan and Dr. Sukanya Kumar presided over the valedictory function to give away the certificates to the delegates of Hyderabad and Mumbai who had completed their diploma course.
The response for the Hands on was overwhelming with over 70 delegates trying both hard tissue and soft tissue lasers.
IALD continues in its journey to teach and ensure that laser dentistry is practiced in the correct way according to evidence based knowledge.
IALD’s 7th Annual International Conference, held in Chennai at Hyatt Regency from 19th to 22nd September 2013 was a roaring success both in the quality of scientific presentation and number of participants.
In a truly grand fashion, new and emerging trends in Lasers, Implants, and CAD CAM were showcased, discussed and demystified by the Gurus of the dental world.
Overwhelming response was received for the Laser, Implant and Aesthetic Dentistry Pre-Conference courses conducted on 19th and 20th September. The Laser course conducted by IALD, Laser Education International (LEI) and University of California, San Franciso (UCSF) was in great demand and was sold out well in advance.
Providing encouragement in the advancement of Science and Dentistry, The Chief Guest for the Conference – His Excellency Dr K Rosaiah, The Governor of Tamil Nadu, inaugurated the event. In his enlightening speech, he highly commended Dr Suchetan Pradhan, Dr Premila Suganathan and the entire team of IALD for their contribution to the world of Dentistry.
The Conference conducted on 21st and 22nd September, 2013 was well attended by Dentists, Exhibitors and Sponsors. Young, technology savvy dentists attended the lectures, training and hands-on courses conducted by distinguished International and National leaders of Lasers and Implant dentistry.
The conference showcased a glittering array of International speakers like Dr. Donald Coluzzi, Dr. Ralf Borchers, Dr. Suchetan Pradhan, Dr. Michael Maier, Dr Giovanni Maria Gaeta, Dr. Rana Al-Falaki, Dr Dmitri, Dr. Blackie Swart, Dr Udatta Kher and National speakers.
The Conference evening was highlighted by a glittering banquet with a karaoke night and great performances by Dr Suchetan Pradhan, Dr Vidyaa Hari Iyer, Dr Abhay Lotlikar and many more. Dr Suchetan Pradhan and his team’s labor of love and months of hard work, meticulous planning and attention to detail paid off, with the conference being declared a resounding success.
IALD conducted a one-day didactic workshop on ”Lasers in Dentistry” at Hotel Amit International, Supela, Bhilai, Chattisgarh on February 17th, 2013. Dr. R.K.Yeltiwar HOD & PG Director – Rungta Dental College and Hospital was the chief guest and inaugurated the workshop.
Dr.Vipin Arora Director – Rungta Dental College and Dr. Chandan Rathod, MDS Prosthodontist also adorned the programme. There were 25 participants who attended the workshop. Dr. Vidyaa Hari Iyer and Dr.Sana Farista were the speakers. The workshop was supported by laser companies in the Hands-on program.The participants gave a positive response and were eager to join the Diplomate course.
